Self depreciating Alice. Is she correct? Is she right to be proudly less-than-perfect? Is she more 'human' than Jay and Kate, and does that make her better or worse than them?
I promise this is the last wordy/ranty page before some stuff starts actually starts going down, so stick around ;)
As always, thanks for checking in!!
-Marshall
So essentially her virtue is being without virtues or at least the aspiration thereof? She rebels against any given order, but without any alternative solution?
Never apologize for good character interaction and development dialogue, especially when it flows very naturally from both parties. This is exactly what the reader both needs and wants to see.
Keep up the good work. ;)
P.S. MARS - I'm sure it's a common nickname for Marshall, but the first thing that popped into my head was a [probably little-known] movie called "Hostage" starring Bruce Willis as a police negotiator. Excellent thriller, particularly since the primary antagonist was a clever villain named Marshall, who went by the nickname "Mars".
