Tara knows all. Even Kate said so!
Also, time to learn a little more about our helpful side character, Karen(?).
Riveting stuff!
That all being said, it's almost time to start hooking back around to the main plot too, so let's just keep on chugging away!
Anyways, thanks for stopping by, and as always -
Hey wait! Isn't there supposed to be a MARCH pinup? Don't worry, Anna's got you covered! NSFW
There we go. NOW i'll leave you to it
Peace!

Kate said it because she couldn't deal with Alice's shit, so she pawned her off on YOU.
All part of the great and never ending game of passing around the Alice-Hot-Potato!
Tara the All Knowi...*breaks into semi-hysterical laughter*
Sorry, I just can't say that without laughing. :D Tara may not be totally oblivious, but she's a far cry from being as on top of what's going on as she thinks she is, even with regards to Alice. Granted, keeping track of Alice is a full-time job and no one is likely capable of it, but at least Tara thinks that she wants to try.
Looking forward to finding out more about "Karen"! Maybe the Major can be swayed toward a "normal" life in the future? His relationship with KATE has to be complicated, but I'm not going to speculate because I really have no clue how you date an AI, even if she can materialize as a solid hologram.
Ahaha I always love your comments :D
I imagine dating an ai-hologram would end up either extraordinarily complicated, or surprisingly mundane
Depends on the AI more than the hologram i'd think. I feel like AI is going to go from "Good at playing chess" to "Super smart to the point of being in an intelligence bracket humans can not relate to" extreeemely fast, haha
Hard to have a conversation with someone who's thinking 10,000 times faster than your poor organic brain
Thank you, sometimes I do get lucky and strike the right chord. :D
I think they already made a movie in Japan about an AI in a robot body that became super popular, but I didn't see the movie and can't even remember the name. I don't have a clue what the future holds for AI, but I suspect it will be something we'll either smack our foreheads over because it turns out more like a VI (virtual intelligence - borrowing the distinction from Mass Effect), or it will be a lucky accident no one can figure out. I tend to follow the notion offered up in the British TV series "Red Dwarf", where Holly is a complete dolt half the time, despite being a super genius, because when he is totoo smart, he ends up shutting himself down because he can see an imminent cascading failu thatnd somehow woulcause him to d cease to exis I can't remember the details, it's been too long, but it was a hilarious episode while still being thought provoking.
A similar plot, though not with an AI, is present in the excellent Orson Scott Card "Ender's Game" parallel books series "Ender's Shadow". Ender's right-hand man (so to speak), was Bean, and while he was actually smarter than Ender, he lacked the qualities that made Ender such an inspiring and effective leader. The concept explored is that hyper intelligence is linked to a shorter lifespan tied to unchecked giantism, which doesn't begin appearing until later in the series.tI don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't read the books, but I really enjoyed both series. Also, the sequels to "Ender's Game" have more to do with AI, but again, I don't want to spoil anything. Both Ender and Bean are interesting characters in extraordinary circumstances, as are Ender's siblings (Valentine was always my favorite), so I recommend the books even if they are intended for younger readers.
TL;DR What happens with AI is anyone's guess, but I like KATE and think she's a plausible eventuality. Anything created by humans is likely to be biased in our favor, especially if we are the only other intelligent beings for it to communicate and associate with, like EDI from Mass Effect, so I am hopeful that humanity will eventually have AI to partner with us to explore space more safely and efficiently. :).
