Guess that's that! And just when the fight was getting interesting (My money was still on Alice. Never underestimate her ability to fight dirty)
So, I suppose everyone's dead now?
Mmmm probably not. But we're gonna have to wait a lil' while to find out!
After all, there are other folks out and about we've yet to cover. So... stay tuned!
Speaking of others, Kate gets to do the New Years pinup this year, so stay tuned for that!

I like how understated that "boom." is. Not even an exclamation point, just a regular period. And I'm sure it only looks upper-case because of the font used, and it's actually all lower-case.
If it was actually the end for our protagonist, it would be kinda funny in a way. At least she'd have died doing what she loved, trying to undress a girl during a fight.

I'd honestly love to end a story like this, just mid-story and abruptly haha. Buuut i'm a lil too attached to everyone, so they get coated in that plot armour.
And glad the 'boom.' works as is. I'd worried it'd come across as lazy, buuut I think it lends itself well. And spoiler alert, pretty sure eventually we'll see what all went down anyways :P

A slight ruffle in the hair is all we can expect.
Must be annoying for the bad guys. All day long they're kicking ass and taking names, and suddenly they just encounter this wall of NOPE from one individual, who just breezes through their tested and true weapons and tactics like they're nothing.

That missile was built by the lowest bidder.
That "boom" is probably it impacting the ground, and not even the left over propellant exploding.
Anna and Alice get up from a VERY conmpromising position covered in dust.
OR
Kate flies into the missile like Ant-Mand and The Wasp and disables the warhead.

Mars, I know you may have been concerned about the understated "Boom", but I think you know your audience well enough by now and personally I think it's completely hilarious, as are you replies, especially the Good Guy Defense Industry one. :D
I can just see the results now...Alice will have a perfect tan and will look sort of like a red-headed, green-eyed version of Anna, much to her immediate annoyance. Then she'll realize there are no tan lines and both of them need to acquire new outfits before they're arrested for indecent exposure in public. ;)
