Sorry for the delay on this page. I actually finished the art last Sunday, but it took me a while to figure out all the dialogue.
This chapter so far has been sort of character based instead of actioney/plot pushing, and I wanted to wrap it up in sort of a climactic point, of sorts, kind of hammer everything down before moving on. I felt it all needed to lead to a very specific "This is what's been going on, and you all need to get with it"
But I also didn't want to hit the nail on the head too much and just say everything that's going on in a boring expository way.
But I felt it was important for Malcolm to get everything out here, and hopefully he's not too expository, and serves as the boot that various characters are going to need to get moving again.
Anyways, like I say, I probably spent too much time on what amounts to a regular page lol.
At any rate, Alice's getting a little alert that something's locked onto the Yesterday...
That can't be good, can it?
Thanks for being patient and tuning in ^_^
Hope you like~!

Malcolm, my boy! I guess because he is the average Joe on board, he sees it all differently. He is no model soldier, no super AI, no rebel and no terrorist. When everything happened, it was a terrible day for him at work while for everyone else it was uh, Tuesday?
But yeah. Gotta have the opinion of the guy who is just fed up with EVERYONE and EVERYTHING.
Yup, nail on the head, he's got a simple view of the world, and sometimes that's what you need to consider.
You know, I wonder what "simple views" mean here.
Because the rest has their set in stone views aimed at a single goal they believe in no matter what while Malcolm here clearly likes to consider all the options and how all of them suck.
Hm :D
Really not good in that she has to real herself in & cycle the airlock before she can do anything.
i understand why you would suit up and get outside for some private time. That makes a lot of sense to me.
One would have thought that the alarm would have sounded across the ship though?
It certainly SHOULD... but maintaining critical systems, or even turning them on all the time, isn't really the name of the game when it comes to Alice's flying style...
BOOM! Malcolm is my new favorite, because he's right. It's time to put up or shut up, and Alice was the only one who bothered to make a decision in that regard. Quit talking about the downtrodden, the corrupt, and the misunderstood and do what you CAN do: go save Malcolm's boy.
You don't have to save the world, literally or figuratively, to make a difference, and if everyone just did the little things each day that make life better the big things would work themselves out in time.
Beautiful dialogue, Mars! Also, panel 4 Alice is probably the only time we've ever seen her feel truly appreciated, and that's a lovely sight. Keep up the great storytelling!
Yup, when it comes to a mountain of chaos, personal choices, ideals and morals... Alice at least makes a decision. Does mean she is wrong sometimes (a lot) but hell, it also means sometimes she's right :P
At any rate, Malcolm is making a decision based on one thing, just like Alice does, knowing the ramifications will be bigger than that but not caring.
Now, time for shit to go south just before they level out and add a bunch of new chaos to an already tumultuous situation!
