PREPARE FOR LIFTOFF.
The way I see it, a masive, faster-than-light warp engine would probably be a little complicated to operate in urban environments.
Much like launching an airplane isn't the same deal as simply hopping in a car.
Nevertheless, this is Alice's time to make the call. Jay's out of his element, so it's time to rock and roll!
Enjoy! And thanks as always for checking in ^_~

Oh and also PATREON iffin ya feel like it
Yep, I doubt we'll disintegrate, I hope the inertial dampeners are working, words I want to hear from my pilot! Lookin' good.
That's why she needs a flight attendant to translate into non-terrifying speak.
Illegal takeoff in a residential area? Someone should call the cops! I mean, all that noise for starters! And who's going to pay for all that broken glass?
The next 50 pages are just a comical police chase scene set to fiddle music.
But what will Kate think? These are the people she was suppose to protect.
They've all got some conflicted days ahead of them, me thinks.
Wouldn't the planet's gravity affect the vector co-ordinates for the final destination?
But then again, they are just trying to get away..............
Pretty much the last part. Aim into the sky, and as long as they're not immediately pointed at the moon, it's better than the current location, haha.
Doing this will more than likely do more than break windows as in flatten every building in a 2 block radius around the site.
As to turning to mush, not so much a problem. It'll be so quick you wouldn't even feel it.
But it's much harder to draw peace signs on a pile of mush.
What?! You mean there's not "an app for that!" to make it easier?????
Oh wait, that's the iPhone, not Photoshop. :D
It's funny see Jay out of his element for a change. Then again, he's pretty much been doing it since KATE kissed him, so maybe he's still in shock. Or were they busier than just kissing? ;)
Come to think of it, what kind of hologram is KATE? I'm familiar with the concept of "hard light" holograms (thanks, Red Dwarf!), but I'm not sure if that's what KATE is or not since she doesn't seem of have a mobile emitter ("bead") like Rimmer did. Either way, she's got to have one heck of a power requirement to do everything we've seen her do so far.
Welp, I guess we find out if she can pilot a ship in a page or two if Alice's reckless driving doesn't pan out! :D
Think her bead was the emitters around town. Her whole support system (power, emitter and data storage) appears to fit in a three piece luggage set as seen on page 177.
Her power is dependant on the levels of the system she is backed by. The small portable system she is currently projecting from (the one Jay has) is going to mean she is weaker by a magnitude. It won't be able to keep her physically composed if too much stress is placed on her, ie. She won't be able to take a rocket launcher hit, or punch holes through tanks. That sort of thing takes much more computing power and energy to organize the particle energy that is broadcast... If that makes sense, haha.
