With regard to there being more than meets the eye, I would think that that would be obvious. Since what meets the eye is essentially the equivalent of the holodeck on the Enterprise (Star Trek), there are also computer banks, power generating stations, sensors, and a variety of other systems.

Unless the Yesterday or Kate is going to remain on this planet or Kate is going to leave the story, it would be assumed that there is a relatively small subset of Kate that can be loaded on the Yesterday. From your comment, it could be that this small subset of components includes something surprising, like brain tissue in a jar.

KATE is still forgetting the prospective Jay is trying to give her.

Okay. You see that right there? Yeah, I was NOT expecting that explanation from KATE at all. Calling people locked up innocent? Planning it so that Jay was there to protect them? Pouting about his reaction?

This gal, AI or no, definitely shows signs of needing time to mature, and I think Jay is just the one to help her take a small step. I just hope he survives the reprisal, whomever it comes from, because you know a reckoning is due, even if it isn't from KATE.
