Marshall
I doubt they are just serving their sentence there.
If not brutal "correction" then turning them into someone else... or something.
Won't YOU be surprised when it turns out their prison's just a bunch of comfy chairs, good music and pleasantries!
:D
Well, theoretically that could work while slipping something in their food until they become obedient workers.
Nice armor but a good sniper could take them out with face shots.
Yeah, but wouldn't you rather be comfy and breathing normally in the desert heat than wear some stuffy face mask??
Comfort first, people!
Comfort is important.
The Israelis in particular had considerable success with ergonomics.
Their T-Series opponents had been sweltering in the desert heat since morning.
The Israelis had air-conditioning.
The result is history.
Plenty of other factors, but cool, rested, fed troops vs heat-fatigued did not hurt
Yup! Very true!!
Also when it comes to uniforms, mobility is a huge factor too. A soldier able to move quick or see things with his own eyes is often safer than the soldier in the big, cumbersome outfit with vision restricting headgear :P

It sounds ominously naïve of him. But if he's truly innocent, that bodes well, and if he's truly correct that bodes even better. I'm just not betting on it.
From his position guarding the front gate, he sees prisoners brought in, but not let out.
At the back gate, another guard sees containers of blended, high-grade fertilizer shipped out, bound for the agricultural regions, but no raw materials brought in.
Schedules are arranged so that these two guards are never off-duty at the same time, rendering the likelihood of them sitting down for coffee and comparing notes impossible.
