Imminent Alice mental breakdown in 3...2...1...
Jay's still giving Kate the benefit of the doubt and remains calm and calculating, despite the death and destruction he just witnessed. Damn, dude. Kind of cold. No wonder Alice compares him and Kate constantly.
Alice on the other hand... that girl's going to lose it right quick. There's acting like you don't give a fuck about the world... and then there's seeing the consequences of your actions lead to murder and mayhem.
Anyways like I say...
3...2...1...
Hope you enjoy! Working on some new art for both Patreon and next month's incentive page ^_^
Finally got a tablet on the way, so that should be fun in a few weeks! :D
Thanks as always for checking in :) you all are the best
~Marshall
I guess Jay being a former soldier hero, he used to view law differently. Maybe more on his side.
When he sees KATE he wants to correct her or something.
Alice in the other hand is a renegade and feels more for the revolutionary folk.
They are both kinda confused though complement each other pretty well.
Minus that "marshmallow incident..." :D
Thanks as always, man!
Yeah you're spot on. It's a fine line deciding who the bad guys and good guys are in a fight sometimes.... perspective can alter a lot.
It's a little hard to see KATE as a "bad guy" in the sense she's following her programming even more strictly than the human soldiers are through their conformance. Not only do her handlers presumably control the power button, but she's likely bound up in logical traps far stronger than those Jay had to work his way through to change his outlook and programming?
She's letting it crush her a little too much. Though acting cold or as if this is all par for the course like Jay isn't the best option either.
She needs a little bit of balance!
May not have "done anything" but that's not what you'll confess to.
I don't really get why major acts like Kate would have emotions or her own motivations.
Is she not just an AI carrying out her program? And even if not,how would he know that?
One part going with his gut, one part grossly-il-informed about how advanced computer systems work, and one part making an arguably dangerous decision based on a brief encounter.
It'll be elaborated on a bit in the future, but yeah. He's not necessarily making the logical or reasonable choice here at all.
On their own, they're both way off. But together, they may yet become "an effective team"... :P
